Climate Change: North Pole’s Jedi
Ny-Alesund Scientific Base.
Ny-Alesund is a small village in the Arctic Svalbard. Here fifty scientists from all over the world are studying the climate change. The only way to reach Ny-Alesund is the weekly flight from Longyearbien, the capital city of Svalbard. Most of this scientists are spending here an entire year. Only a few of them have been able to spend here more than a winter, in complete darkness, in total isolation.
From this outpost on the future of the environment, they are warning us that the ice melting already reached levels never touched before in our history. And the time we have to save our global biodiversity is about to expire.
